Southwest Airlines
A total of 34 flights on seven routes have been added for fans to follow their team’s quest for professional football’s ultimate prize

The matchup has been assigned and now it’s time to pick a seat to the biggest football game of the season on Sunday, Feb. 8 in Santa Clara, California. Increased service to the San Francisco Bay Area on Southwest Airlines® for the days surrounding the game is available for purchase at Southwest.com.

A total of 34 flights on seven routes have been added for fans to follow their team’s quest for professional football’s ultimate prize. Of those seven routes, only two are currently operated. All extra flights to the game are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 6, and flights back to their originating destination are scheduled for Monday, Feb. 9.

Prior to the launch of its Boston-San Diego scheduled route in June, Southwest® will link Boston and California with two roundtrip flights between Boston and San Jose, along with a roundtrip between Boston and San Francisco. Additionally, trips between Providence and San Francisco and San Jose are also out for sale.

Complementing its existing daily service between Seattle and San Jose, the carrier published three more trips on that route for football fans, along with an additional roundtrip between Portland, Oregon, and San Jose. Two flights each way connecting Seattle and San Francisco round out the carrier’s offerings to the 60th edition of the football game featuring the champions of their respective professional football conferences.

The flights added this evening are in addition to the 24 flights previously out for sale connecting various Southwest destinations with San Jose, California, specifically designed to take football fans to the game where a silver trophy with a football on top will be awarded to the winner.

All flights to this high-profile football game known for its commercials and halftime show will operate with assigned and premium seating, including Extra Legroom seats, after Southwest launches the culmination of its transformation with the launch of assigned seating on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Fans traveling during the game can catch it on Southwest’s inflight entertainment portal, subject to availability.
