News / You can now earn Air India Flying Returns points on tickets to LEGOLAND
Enhances benefits and rewards for loyal customers
Members of Air India's Flying Returns frequent flyer program can now earn points on tickets to LEGOLAND locations worldwide. The addition comes as the Indian flag carrier expands its loyalty program with new partners and earning opportunities.
Off to see the LEGO
Star Alliance carrier Air India has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to offer a new promotion for its frequent flyers to earn points on ticket purchases. Air India Flying Returns members can earn up to 10 Reward Points per INR 100 ($1.19) spent across five participating LEGOLAND locations.
LEGOLAND theme parks are designed for children aged 2.12 and feature dramatic sculptures, iconic buildings, and attractions built using LEGO bricks. The parks include interactive family rides, live shows, and LEGO building workshops. To earn the Reward Points, Flying Returns members must book through the official portal for one of the following locations:
- LEGOLAND Windsor, UK
- LEGOLAND New York Resort, USA
- LEGOLAND California, USA
- LEGOLAND Dubai, UAE
- LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, Malaysia
At launch, earning points on the remaining LEGOLAND locations worldwide, including sites in Germany, Korea, and the original home of LEGO in Denmark, was not immediately available.
An upgraded return
Air India significantly overhauled its Flying Returns program this spring. The most significant change was the shift from earning points based on the distance flown to earning points based on spending. In addition, the tiers have been renamed, and progression to elite status has been simplified, allowing customers to earn Star Alliance status more easily.
LEGOLAND operator Merlin Entertainments is among the latest of more than 50 partners Air India has added to the Flying Returns program over the last year and a half to offer greater ease, more rewards, and recognition for its members.
In addition to LEGOLAND, the frequent flyer program has also inked earning deals with traditional hotel, rental car, and cruise providers, as well as The Bicester Collection and Madame Tussauds.
