Another ferry company has begun operating the Cozumel-Playa del Carmen route. On Friday, Xcaret Xailing announced the start of ferry passenger service from the island to the mainland.

According to the company, the passenger serive will be offered every hour starting with a 7:30 a.m. departure from Cozumel to the mainland Playa del Carmen. The last ferry will run 8:30 p.m. from Cozumel and 9:30 p.m. from Playa del Carmen.

One way tickets for adults start at 249.00 pesos or 509.00 pesos for a round trip. Discounts are available for locals. The ferry also has a pet area.

“The Playa del Carmen – Cozumel ferry route has a ferry pet area. In addition to exceptional service, without long waits, this new ferry is an excellent alternative with departures every hour so you can travel at your own pace.
