The first Austin flight landed with 110 passengers who were received by the administrator of the air terminal
The Island of Cozumel has added another new air connection between them and the U.S. On Saturday, Southwest Air arrived from Austin, Texas.
The plane was showered with the traditional water salute as it landed at Cozumel International. The island’s mayor, Juanita Alonso Marrufo, was at the airport along with the Secretary General, Ociel González González and Badih Sleme Flores, the head of Tourism and Economic Development Directorate, among others.
The first Austin flight landed with 110 passengers who were received by the administrator of the air terminal, Jorge Carlos Campos Romero and the regional manager of the Southwest company, Robert Robles Cortés.
Southwest is the second largest commercial partner of the island, only after American Airlines.
