For the 2023 winter season, American Airlines and Arajet will head for the Mexican Caribbean more often

Three airlines have increased air connectivity with new routes and greater frequency of flights into Cancun. For the 2023 winter season, American Airlines and Arajet will head for the Mexican Caribbean more often.

State Secretariat of Tourism Bernardo Cueto Riestra said that as of November 5, American Airlines will add another weekly direct flight from Austin, Texas, in response to the growing demand for Cancun travel.

On December 5, American Airlines will add new frequencies from Charlotte, North Carolina. For the upcoming winter season, they will offer five direct flights per week.

As of December 9, American Airlines will inaugurate new direct routes from Nashville, Tennessee, and Cincinnati, Ohio, thus increasing connectivity with travelers from these cities.

Arajet is also expanding its presence in Cancun. Starting October 4, the airline will inaugurate direct flights from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and will offer connecting flights to St. Marteen, Jamaica , Aruba and Curacao, also providing travelers with more options to Cancun.

On June 15, airline Avianca inaugurated its new direct Quito-Cancun route. The flight will be operate three times a week, offering Ecuadorians 4,000 sets per month for Cancun travel.
