News / JetBlue is launching new 'eco-conscious' amenity kits
Mint passengers will enjoy stylish backpacks and essential skincare products, elevating their travel experience
JetBlue has announced that it will introduce new amenity kits, which are launching in March and April 2024. The amenity kits will include products from New York-based brands, including Dr. Dennis Gross and Plus Ultra, and will feature on transatlantic and domestic flights.
Launching for transatlantic and domestic flights
According to the airline’s announcement, a new stylish and reusable foldable backpack will launch for transatlantic flights on March 13, while the snapping and collectible pouch will launch for domestic passengers on April 1, 2024. Caraa, a New York-based sports bag and accessory company, designed both items.
The company reimagines bags for modern life, combining function with fashioned materials, creating a next-generation luxury bag for modern travelers. On transatlantic flights, passengers seated in Mint, the equivalent of business class on JetBlue, will find a charcoal-colored Caraa sport mesh pouch that unfolds into a mint-colored and functional backpack, which can be used as a travel day pack, hotel gym bag, or beach tote.
Meanwhile, Mint travelers on domestic itineraries will find a snappable pouch full of travel essentials. The pouch will have four colorways, essentially transforming the pouch into a collectible item to mix and match with other travel accessories.
Skincare and personal care items
Customers will get skincare and personal care items from Dr. Dennis Gross and Plus Ultra, two local brands. The former’s products will help travelers care for their skin during a flight, while the latter will fill the kits with toothbrushes and toothpaste.
Mint travelers will receive an array of Dr. Dennis Gross products, including the Hyaluronic Marine Oil-Free Moisture Cushion, Hydrate + Smooth Hand Treatment, and the popular Moisture-Lock Lip Balm.
Plus Ultra, which is an eco-conscious company creating personal care essentials, will provide Moso bamboo toothbrushes, a renewable resource that is both durable and inherent. Meanwhile, the Mint gel toothpaste or mouthwash will help customers take care of their personal hygiene.
JetBlue’s transatlantic flight experience
Just before JetBlue launched its transatlantic flights between New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and London Heathrow Airport (LHR) in August 2021, the airline also introduced a new Mint experience with two studio suites in June 2021.
The airline equipped some of its Airbus A321neo aircraft, operating domestic routes, with two ultra-spacious Mint Studios, with plenty of features to enhance a passenger’s comfort flying in JetBlue’s most-premium cabin. The studios are also present on its A321LR aircraft.
Since its first Transatlantic JFK – LHR route, JetBlue has expanded its network to include Amsterdam Schiphol Airpot (AMS), Paris Charles De Gaulle International Airport (CDG), Dublin Airport (DUB), and London Gatwick Airport (LGW). The airline will also fly to Edinburgh Airport from JFK during the upcoming summer season.
In total, JetBlue will operate 66 weekly flights to Europe in March 2024. The destination list includes AMS, CDG, DUB, LGW, and LHR. By June 2024, the carrier’s flight schedule will expand to 84 flights and will include daily flights to EDI.
