News / Delta issues travel waiver and caps fares for travelers affected by Hurricane Delta
A travel waiver issued Tuesday for Cancun remains in effect through Thursday morning, and a second waiver has been issued for four cities in Louisiana.

Hurricane Delta* made landfall near Cancun, Mexico on Wednesday morning and is forecast to strengthen as it moves over the southern Gulf of Mexico Wednesday afternoon and approaches the northern Gulf coast Friday.
All four flights scheduled to arrive in Cancun on Wednesday have been canceled. Delta teams in the Operations and Customer Center in Atlanta continue to monitor the projected path of Hurricane Delta and will continue to make tactical adjustments as needed.
One travel waiver issued Tuesday for Cancun remains in effect through Thursday morning, and a second waiver has been issued for four cities in Louisiana from October 8 – October 10. The airline has also capped fares for flights to and from these cities to provide customers with travel flexibility.
