As Delta teams continue to monitor Winter Storm Hernando, Delta expects to suspend operations at its New York-LGA, New York-JFK and Boston Logan hubs into Tues, Feb. 24 due to extreme winter weather conditions.

As Delta teams continue to monitor Winter Storm Hernando, Delta expects to suspend operations at its New York-LGA, New York-JFK and Boston Logan hubs into Tues, Feb. 24 due to extreme winter weather conditions. The storm is also creating broader disruptions along the East Coast, and customers may experience additional schedule adjustments as the system moves through the region. 

Customers traveling in affected areas are encouraged to move their flights before or after the storm. 

Additional flexible options are available for customers whose travel takes them to, from or through affected airports, to move their flights outside the expected weather window, which is now covered through a fare-difference waiver through Feb 25 and rebooked by Feb. 28. 

Delta's priority is to notify customers as early as possible of any flight cancellations, and Delta is proactively messaging customers with impacted flights.

Delta is taking proactive steps to minimize disruption for customers ahead of significant weather impacts from Winter Storm Hernando starting on Sunday and extending through Monday. Due to forecasted snow and winter weather, Delta is processing cancellations at East Coast airports, including Delta hubs BOS, JFK and LGA, to ensure the safety of the and people. Flexible options are available for customers whose travel takes them to, from or through affected airports, to move their flights outside the expected weather window. 

Delta automatically rebooks customers to the next best itinerary, and customers can easily make further changes via the Delta app and delta.com. Delta encourages customers to take advantage of easy rebooking options in the Delta app and at delta.com as these are the same flight options that the reservation specialists have access to. 

The safety of Delta customers and people remains first and foremost as the airline closely monitors forecasts to determine necessary adjustments to flight schedules.
