Canadian airline Porter is expanding its network of eligible flights to its Porter Pass program. The program acts as a bundle of flight credits that can be used across its network of destinations. It gives frequent travelers on particular routes or within regions a simple and cost-effective way to purchase up to 100 flight credits at a set price for travel over one year.

What is new to the Porter pass program?

Porter Airlines has introduced six new and expanded Porter Passes for passengers traveling primarily from Eastern Canada including Toronto (Billy Bishop and Pearson), Ottawa, and Montreal. The latest and expanded Passes cover the following routes:

• Western Canada: Travel to six Porter destinations across four the western cities of Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Vancouver, Victoria and Winnipeg.
• Florida: Travel to five Porter destinations in the Sunshine State: Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa.
• Western US: Travel to three Western Porter destinations in the US: Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
• Northeast US: Travel to four Porter destinations in Northeast US: Boston, Chicago, New York-Newark, Washington DC.
• Everywhere (Canada) for travel between Porter's 21 Canadian destinations.
• Everywhere (North America) for travel between Porter's 33 North American destinations.

These new passes add to the 12 existing Porter Pass options, including popular choices like Triangle Commuter (travel between Toronto, Ottawa and Montréal), Toronto to New York City, and Atlantic Canada (Toronto, Ottawa, and Montréal to it's six Atlantic destinations).

What is the flagship service option given to Porter customers: PorterReserve.

Some Porter Passes will now grant you access to PorterReserve; let's briefly examine what it entails.

This product would resemble intra-European business class offerings, with free beer and wine, no middle seats, and fast and free WiFi on all Embraer E195-E2 routes. PorterReserve passengers enjoy priority check-in, ticketing flexibility, and extra legroom seats. Premium pre-mixed cocktails and fresh, healthy meals are standard on longer routes.

Edmond Eldebs, senior vice president and chief commercial officer at Porter Airlines, expressed that the improved Porter Pass program gives frequent travelers great value. It allows them to lock in a special fare for 12 months and customize their experience to make flying work for them.

Porter has also updated its online booking portal, making purchasing and redeeming Porter Pass flight credits easier for passengers. Using Uplift, passengers can buy a Porter Pass in installments with financing options available. Passengers can simultaneously purchase 10, 20, 50, or 100 flight credits for a fixed price. Additionally, packages of 20 or more are transferable among individuals for ultimate flexibility.
