A major-worthy travel experience to Edinburgh
Full of golf fans and celebratory customers, American flew its inaugural international flight of its Airbus A321XLR on March 8 between New York (JFK) and Edinburgh, Scotland (EDI). American is the first U.S. airline to introduce the A321XLR and operate the versatile aircraft on its transcontinental routes and to and from Scotland’s capital city.
Featuring 20 luxurious Flagship Suite® seats, a dozen relaxing Premium Economy seats and 123 reimagined Main Cabin seats, the aircraft provides customers with a refined premium trans-Atlantic journey complete with high-speed Wi-Fi and complimentary seatback entertainment featuring Bluetooth connectivity.
More flights to the pines of Augusta
For golfers and golf aficionados wanting to see who tops the leaderboard, American will offer the most flights and the most seats of any airline to Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) between April 5 and 13. American’s schedule to golf’s first major of the year is 6% larger than last year, with up to 23 round-trip flights per day.
American is the only airline to offer travelers nonstop service to Augusta from Charlotte, North Carolina; Dallas-Fort Worth; Miami; Chicago; Philadelphia; and Phoenix, providing the most convenient schedules to the tournament, including for customers connecting from throughout the U.S.
