American Airlines is introducing a new approach to lounge design at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) with its Provisions by Admirals ClubSM space — a purpose-built concept created to better serve high volume traffic while elevating the grab and go experience for greater travel ease.
Located in Terminal 8 within Concourse B between gates 12 and 14, the 3,700-square-foot space prioritizes flow, flexibility and speed, offering a streamlined alternative for customers who want premium food and beverage options without spending as much time in the lounge. This new space will complement the joint premium lounges above gates 12 and 14 and the Admirals Club® lounge in Concourse C.
A design rooted in movement and place
Inspired by New York City’s energy and character, the space translates local design cues into a highly functional environment. Subtle textures, tonal variation and lighting create a sense of place, inspired by New York City’s fabric, while localized design makes the layout fresh, open and calm.
Every decision supports a single goal: helping customers move through the space quickly and comfortably, whether they’re stopping in for a coffee, a bite or on-the-go assistance before their flight.
After launching its initial Provisions by Admirals ClubSM concept at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) in August 2025, American has brought the idea to its fullest expression yet at JFK — setting a new benchmark for the elevated experience the airline continues to build for customers.
Elevated beverages, led by a first-of-its-kind barista experience
At the heart of the lounge is a dedicated barista bar — a first for American — featuring Lavazza-crafted beverages. Customers can enjoy a curated menu of hot and cold coffee drinks, prepared by a barista and customized to their preferences, bringing a more personalized and premium beverage experience to the quick stop setting.
Complementing the barista bar, a self-serve beverage station offers canned and bottled options designed for customers to take on the go, meeting the needs of travelers with tight connections or limited time.
Menu options at the ready
The space serves prepared grab-and-go food offerings, including both hot and cold selections, giving guests an easy way to pick up what they need and move on with their journey.
Breakfast — served until 11 a.m. local time daily — features light bites, such as pastries, snack mixes, yogurt and fruit options, along with more substantial breakfast meals. All-day offerings — served from 11 a.m. until close — include a mix of salty snacks, sweet treats and filling meals. Vegetarian options are available at all hours.
Support when it matters most
In addition to food and beverage offerings, the space includes an on-site representative providing one-on-one assistance, ensuring customers can quickly address travel needs without sacrificing convenience.

American Airlines is making it easier than ever for AAdvantage® members to enjoy premium lounge experiences.
For those traveling domestically, Admirals Club® lounge access is available through an Admirals Club® membership or the Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite Mastercard®. Citi® / AAdvantage® Globe™ Mastercard® and Citi Strata Elite® cardholders can also use one of their four Admirals Club® Globe™ and Citi Strata Elite® passes each year, each valid for 24 hours. Customers can also purchase a One-Day Pass, valid for 24 hours, for $79 or 7,900 AAdvantage® miles.
