International travelers coming from St. Kitts & Nevis will not be subject to a mandatory quarantine

October 20 - International travelers coming from St. Kitts & Nevis will not be subject to a mandatory quarantine upon entry to New York, as the Federation is one of 31 exempted countries/territories outlined in a new executive order signed by Governor Andrew. M. Cuomo on September 28, 2020.

The CDC recently assessed the Federation’s Covid-19 risk as very low and designated it as “No Travel Health Notice” required, having had only 19 cases of the Coronavirus, no community spread and no deaths. Further, St. Kitts & Nevis have one of the highest testing rates in CARICOM and the Eastern Caribbean using the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test recognized as the gold standard of testing.

The executive order reminds international travelers entering New York from Level 2 and 3 countries to quarantine and fill out the NYS Department of Health traveler health form. The form can be found on the official government website of New York.
