Two Hard Rock Hotels properties in Mexico are set to undergo extensive renovations this summer, with reservations now open ahead of their planned reopening in late December 2026.

The all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel Cancun and Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta will temporarily close for approximately five months while completing what the brand describes as an unprecedented transformation. The renovations will include upgrades to accommodations, public spaces, core amenities and meeting facilities.

Reservations are open for both properties, with their grand reopening scheduled for late December 2026.

According to the company, the redesign will combine contemporary architecture with the brand’s signature music-inspired atmosphere. Guests returning this winter can expect fully refreshed guestrooms, redesigned public areas and updated resort amenities.

Meeting and convention facilities at both properties will receive complete redesigns. At Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta, the beachfront wedding chapel will also be renovated to provide an updated venue for destination weddings.

Both resorts will also debut a new collection of music memorabilia featuring items from legendary artists and contemporary performers, further highlighting Hard Rock’s music heritage.

“We are structurally altering how our guests experience the Caribbean and the Pacific, from the completely fresh energy of our luminous guestrooms to specialized spaces for every family member, including dedicated spaces for kids and teens.”

“By opening reservations today, we are giving our loyal community and new travellers the exclusive opportunity to secure their place at what will undoubtedly be the premier resort openings of the winter season,” she said.

The temporary closures have been timed to minimize disruption to annual travel plans while allowing both resorts to reopen for the peak winter season. Advanced booking windows are currently open with exclusive reopening privileges for early registrants.

During the renovation period, Hard Rock’s other all-inclusive resorts in Los Cabos, Riviera Maya and Punta Cana will remain open and continue welcoming guests.
