Travel to Chine and South Korea
China and South Korea are currently experiencing outbreaks of the Novel Coronavirus virus (COVID-19). Outbreaks of the virus originated in the city of Wuhan but cases have spread to other major cities within China and to other destinations around the world. Travel restrictions have been imposed by Chinese authorities and many governments around the world are elevating their travel advisories with regard to some destinations.Due to the ongoing situation surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak, G Adventures has cancelled all trips to China departing up to and including May 31, 2020 and all trips to South Korea departing up to and including March 30, 2020. All affected clients have been notified. G Adventures will continue to monitor WHO recommendations and government travel advisories and they will post further updates concerning our trips as necessary.
Travellers who have recently been in or through countries that have been affected by COVID-19 outbreak
Some governments and airlines have applied restrictions and travel bans to individuals who have recently travelled in or through mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Italy, Iran and other countries that have experienced outbreaks of COVID-19.G Adventures strongly advises that travellers check for any entry restrictions that may have been applied by all countries that they plan to visit, particularly if they have recently travelled in or through a country that has been affected by a COVID-19 outbreak. They also advise travellers to check the validity of any visas or electronic travel authorities that have been issued to them with the issuing authorities if they have travelled in or through an affected area recently.
It is also recommended that travellers check with their airline carrier regarding any travel restrictions that may apply to them or if there is a need to reroute flight itineraries based on the entry requirements of the countries they are visiting.
Travel to destinations outside of China and South Korea
While G Adventures trips to destinations outside of China and South Korea are operating as scheduled, some itineraries are being adjusted to avoid areas of risk. Affected clients are being notified accordingly.
