This winter season, Delta is increasing by 27% the number of seats out of Miami compared to what it offered in 2023 as the airline pushes to become the airline of choice in South Florida.

Delta is adding more flights to Atlanta (ATL), Detroit (DTW), Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP), New York-JFK, New York-LGA and Orlando (MCO) as it builds to 37 peak-day departures from MIA to 12 destinations. A brand-new route to Washington, D.C. (DCA), launched last month. All together, that’s about 1,300 additional seats per day from MIA on Delta.

An additional 13 cities throughout the globe are served from Miami through Delta’s partnerships with Aeromexico, Air France/KLM, LATAM Airlines and Virgin Atlantic. This October marked the one-year anniversary of Delta’s alliance with LATAM, which has enabled six new routes, including new service from Miami to Medellin, Colombia, that launched on Oct. 29. The successful joint venture has so far carried out 15,000 flights, transported more than 3 million customers, and covered more than 56 million miles. Delta and its joint venture partners serve 7 of the top 10 international destinations from Miami.

At the Miami airport itself, Delta has installed next-generation check-in kiosks, implemented a quick-connect process, and rolled out a more seamless check-in experience through the Fly Delta app. More is on the way in 2024, including an expansion and renovation of the airport’s Delta Sky Club.
