Airline celebrating 85 years of air service in Denver with prizes, including two roundtrip United Polaris® tickets or two economy tickets
United announced an exclusive promotion just for Colorado residents: enter for a chance to win free roundtrip tickets to anywhere in United’s network – more than 300 cities across five continents – in celebration of the airline’s 85th anniversary service in Denver. To enter, visit United85Denver.com anytime between today and November 19 and register for a chance to win. Additional entries can also be made after registration by purchasing a ticket to or from Denver (DEN) between today and November 19 and traveling by January 2, 2023, or, mailing in for a free entry.
A total of four winners will be selected, with two winners receiving a pair of roundtrip United Polaris® business class service tickets and two winners receiving a pair of roundtrip economy tickets, each to anywhere United and/or United Express® flies. Winners will be announced in January 2023, and their tickets will be valid for one year.
Denver is home to one of United’s fastest growing hubs, where the airline has invested in its people, its customers and the community to be the best hometown airline in the Mile High City. The airline provides service to more than 170 destinations, including nine countries, from Denver. United is the only U.S. airline to offer transatlantic service from Denver with daily and year-round nonstop service to London, Frankfurt and Munich.
Since 2013, United has operated with a better on-time performance than Southwest in Denver. The airline also flies to more than 70 destinations that are not served by Southwest and/or Frontier. United offers the most nonstop flights to the most destinations from Denver, including nonstop service to 45 states.
In the past few years alone, United has invested nearly 1 billion dollars into improving the customer experience for its customers in Denver. This includes an on-going concourse expansion that will add 20 new gates for the airline and will bring them to an airport-leading 90 gates by early 2023. United also opened a new check-in lobby at the end of 2021 and has introduced user-friendly new technology at gates to improve the customer experience.
United is also currently expanding its Flight Training Center in Denver, already the largest facility of its kind in the world. United’s training campus is the sole training facility for the airline’s 14,000 active pilots and all newly hired pilots. Every nine months pilots must visit the training center to remain up-to-date on certifications. At any one time, there may be up to 600 pilots training at the facility. More than 1,000 United employees are employed at the training center.

Earlier this month, United announced its 2023 summer schedule, and will add new service to three cities with direct service from New York/Newark to Malaga, Spain; Stockholm, Sweden; and Dubai, UAE. United will fly nine routes it added last summer, including direct flights between Denver and Munich. Across its network, United will fly to 37 cities in Europe, Africa, India and the Middle East next summer, more destinations than all other U.S. airlines combined.
