Tauck is expanding its award-winning river cruise fleet with two new ships launching in 2027, marking the company’s largest fleet growth in history.

Combined with two vessels set to debut in 2026, the four-ship expansion represents a 30 percent increase in capacity since 2025.

The new additions will focus on two of Tauck’s most in-demand regions: France and Portugal’s Douro River Valley. With the 2027 launches, capacity in France will increase by 50 percent and nearly double on the Douro compared to 2025.

Tauck has also opened reservations for its 2027 river cruise season earlier than ever, allowing guests to secure preferred departures with risk-free deposits while final details are being finalized.

The new ships will feature design elements focused on guest comfort and innovation. Both vessels will include resort-style Sun Decks with swimming pools and bars, sky-lit atriums and panoramic lounges. Cabins are designed with space in mind, with more than 75 percent measuring at least 225 square feet. Suites of 300 square feet on the upper Diamond Deck will include double French balconies, walk-in closets, seating areas and king-size beds positioned to take in passing river views.

The 125-metre Seine riverboat will share the design philosophy of the ms Serene launching in 2026, with Arthur’s dining venue at the bow and a new wellness concept, The Retreat. This expanded space will include a fitness centre, massage treatment room and lounge area with river views and a juice and snack bar.

The 80-metre Douro riverboat will join sister ship ms Andorinha, incorporating features tailored for Portugal’s distinctive waterway. Among these are hydraulic systems to navigate the Douro’s locks and a stern-positioned Arthur’s dining venue with 360-degree views of vineyards and landscapes.

Tauck’s all-inclusive approach covers shore excursions, gratuities, onboard beverages including premium wines and spirits, airport transfers, luggage handling, taxes and fees.

Guests can now reserve itineraries and departures for 2027, with deposits fully refundable when final itinerary details and pricing are released later this fall.
