Sitting by the pool won’t end at the resort in Punta Cana. An outdoor pool at Punta Cana International Airport’s new VIP lounge is giving travellers a reason to linger at the airport. Now, there’s no reason for vacationers to dash off to their respective resorts, when they can kickstart their holidays immediately upon disembarking from the plane.

Punta Cana International Airport continues to expand in an effort to provide domestic and international travellers with top-notch service facilities. The sustained growth of the airport over the past five years has gone from the construction of a second airstrip, to the latest construction of a new terminal building.

In addition, the airport will be adding U.S. Pre-Clearance this year in addition to becoming the first airport in the Caribbean to have a pool at a terminal overlooking the airstrip.

And judging by this photo, travellers won’t waste any time diving right in.
