"I am devastated by the scale and impact of the bushfires currently impacting Australia. This tragedy has resulted in the loss of human life, caused destruction and damage to homes and bushland, and has inflicted immeasurable harm to wildlife, including critically endangered native species.

This is not just a loss to Australia, it’s a loss of natural beauty for our global community. We are one world and we are stronger united than we are divided. It’s easy to feel helpless at times like this, but there is always something we can do. We stand in solidarity with all Australians, including our staff and travellers, and the broader communities that have been affected.

As we look to the future, we acknowledge the important role tourism plays in helping communities recover and will continue our efforts in using travel as a force for good for Australia.
