Sandos Caracol is close to celebrating one of its most significant events of the year, Day of the Dead! This historical tradition, widely celebrated across Mexico, arrives at Sandos Caracol, where guests from around the world will be able to get an authentic taste of what exactly makes Mexico such a distinct country.

Day of the Dead is a national celebration that takes place on November 1st and 2nd, as people across Mexico honor deceased friends and family members, supporting their spiritual journey through a number of prayers and offerings.Death is often seen as a sad thing, but throughout these days in Mexico, they are not meant for mourning, but meant for celebrating those who have lived and continue to in our hearts.

During the two day celebration, guests at Sandos Caracol will have the opportunity to indulge an abundance of traditional and delicious foods and drinks from different regions of Mexico, widely consumed throughout the country on these special days.
After all the incredible food, guests can partake in an abundance of activities, perfect for the entire family! Ranging from sugar skull making to face painting like one of Mexico’s famous Catrin’s/Catrinas, the wildest imaginations will run free during these two incredible days.
But the fun doesn’t stop there, alongside the spectacular gastronomy and thrilling activities, guests will turn their attention to the magnificent afternoon and nighttime performances and parades boasting the authentic culture of Mexico with an exciting twist! Honouring those who have passed
