Arajet’s low-fare flights from the U.S. to popular destinations in the Caribbean and South and Central America will begin in April 2025

Arajet, the Dominican flagship airline, launched its United States operations, offering flights between the Dominican Republic and Miami and San Juan, Puerto Rico, with New York coming soon. Tickets for flights to 25 destinations are now on sale, with one-way fares starting as low as $84, and flights will begin from Miami on April 11 and San Juan on June 5.
As the first low-fare airline in the Caribbean region, Arajet will make travel accessible for tourists and the 2.4 million Dominican diaspora community. In just two years of operations, Arajet has increased local tourism and flown more than 1.2 million passengers in 2024 with an 80% average on-time arrival rate. The new U.S. routes mark a significant milestone for the airline, now serving 26 destinations across 17 countries. The airline begins its U.S. service with flights from Miami and San Juan, and plans to expand from there with the first direct flight between the DR and New York in 30 years expected to start in June 2025.
The three routes will connect passengers with direct flights to Santo Domingo (SDQ) from Miami International Airport (MIA) and San Juan Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) to Santo Domingo, Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) at a frequency of four times per week, and Miami travelers can also fly direct to Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) via six flights per week. Once in the Dominican Republic, passengers can easily connect to several destinations, including: Aruba (AUA); Bogotá (BOG) and Medellín (MDE), Colombia; Costa Rica (SJO); El Salvador (SAL); Guatemala (GUA); Cancún (CUN) and Mexico City (NLU), Mexico; Curaçao (CUR). Flights will begin from Miami (MIA) to Santo Domingo (SDQ) on April 11, 2025, from Miami (MIA) to Punta Cana (PUJ) on June 13, 2025, and from San Juan (SJU) to Santo Domingo (SDQ) on June 4, 2025.
