Still hungry on the flight, ask for another meal!

As the saying goes, “ask and you shall receive.” But who knew this applied to air passengers who, with today’s rising cost of airline ancillaries, have grown accustomed to a no-frills inflight experience?

Little did you know that there’s a wide range of items you can request during a flight, small perks that will no doubt enhance your time onboard. The Daily Mail has compiled a list of products and services that many airlines are able to provide – all you have to do is ask. Here are our favourites:

1. Medicine and bandages

If you suffer a migraine or a paper cut mid flight, you’re in luck. Most planes come equipped with a first aid kit.

2. A second meal

Inflight meals aren’t what they used to; with many airlines focusing on healthy and delicious eating, passengers are often left asking for seconds. As long as the aircraft is well stocked (and not part of a budget carrier where meals are extra), cabin crew will be happy to offer you a second meal or extra snacks.

3. A will

Sounds morbid, but it’s true. According to Wanderluxe, pilots are capable of writing wills. They can also arrest you and issue a fine for any number of offenses.

4. Sanitizing wipes

No need to struggle fitting your bottle of sanitizer into a Ziploc bag anymore. According to Smarter Travel, sanitizing wipes are often available on aircraft to wipe down icky surfaces and entertainment system buttons that are known for being germ-ridden.

5. The whole can

It’s important to stay hydrated on a flight. Remember, it’s perfectly okay to ask for the whole can rather than just sip from the cup you’ve been poured.
