I first met Shorty years ago, during my first visit to Caribbean Club when he came darting out of nowhere, towels in hand pointing at towering palms for shade sitting, or perhaps under the ubiquitous pink umbrellas sprinkled closer to the sea. Shorty’s memory is remarkable; a year later when returning for a repeat visit, he came running across the beach, pointing at our preferred location from last year’s vacation, always smiling and quick to set up your space. The man is a true gentleman who loves what he does, and loves Caribbean Club.
