WheelsUpNetwork were fortunate enough to spend a few days soaking up some Unlimited-Luxury ® on a recent trip to Cancun. Here's what we found.
As a 17-storey high-rise resort, Dreams Vista Cancun feels different to many of its sister brand hotels, and that’s by design.
Offering unrivalled and sweeping views across the Bahia de Mujeres, to Cancun’s Hotel Zone to the south and straight out to Isla Mujeres itself and the Caribbean Sea beyond, this resort for couples, and couples with kids, is a wonderful alternative to each of those locations, and close enough to enjoy both of their charms with ease.
Each and every room has unobscured views of the Caribbean, even from under the rain-shower. After all, ‘vista’ is right there in the hotel’s name!
We especially enjoyed the view from the 17th floor rooftop, while sipping on Bar 360°’s signature cocktail – Black Margarita – a spicy twist on the Mexican classic.
For those looking to pamper themselves, look no further than the famed Dreams Spa by Pevonia®. And don’t forget, clients booked in to the Preferred Club category rooms receive a free day pass to the “Hydrotherapy Circuit”.
Speaking of water, how about doing some laps in the main pool, twice the length of an Olympic swimming pool?
Or perhaps your clients will be looking for a different type of therapy, taking advantage of the complimentary water shuttle to Puerto Cancun Shopping Mall.
And did we mention the golf? Right next door, and with very friendly hotel guest rates, Puerto Cancun is a private, 18-hole golf course designed by Tom Weiskopf and surrounded by a 183-acre ecological reserve (yes, possibly a small croc or two may keep you on your toes searching for any stray ball).
When we visited in November of this year, there weren’t too many tweens or teens around, but you could easily see how they could consider this their perfect vacation spot. With a climbing wall, Euro-bungee, two surf pools and a splash park, not to mention the Core Zone Teens Club itself, complete with Virtual Reality Skydiving, they may never want to leave.
As November is the traditional start to high season, we were really encouraged to see occupancy rates already approaching 80%, and likewise, with the CleanComplete VerificationTM health protocols, which were well evidenced throughout our stay. We felt comfortable and safe, without being overwhelmed by undue processes or crowding.
We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
