Mindfulness and Meditation (7:30am – 8:00am)
Have you heard about the amazing benefits of practicing mindfulness and meditation, such as being happier and healthier? Mindfulness and meditation takes practice, especially at the beginning.This is why it’s important to have guidance and direction. Therefore, during these sessions you will be provided with different mindfulness and meditation exercises which ease you into that
practice.
Yoga Basics: Workshop for Beginners (8:30am – 9:30am)
Being a newcomer to Yoga you will learn the fundamental poses of Yoga asana (physical postures), the sun salutations and breath work during this introductory experience. You will learn how to participate safely and injury free in a Vinyasa Flow Level 1 class by being provided with the basic tools you need.
Vinyasa Flow Classes (6:30pm – 7:30pm)
Vinyasa Flow means combining breath and movement in a dynamic and flowing Yoga sequences. This is for those who have a good knowledge regarding the alignment of the most important postures in the different asana groups, such as forward folds, backbends, twists, inversions, hip openers, standing postures and balances.
The Yoga Teacher: Marianne
Marianne is a German Yoga teacher from Berlin who currently teaches at Sprit Yoga Berlin and other well known institutions. She has specialized in Moonlight/Restorative Yoga, basics classes, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.To her, mental training and respiration are as important as the physical aspect of Yoga and have become the source of her strength, awareness and feeling.
When teaching Yoga, her aim is for people to reconnect to themselves. Apart from her professionalism, her personal motto guides her through the class: “Give the best of you and of your talents, because you have received them not only as a gift but also as a task!”
