Taiwan has removed its mandatory quarantine for all visitors, effective October 13

Taiwan has removed its mandatory quarantine for all visitors, effective October 13.

In its place, visitors will instead undergo a seven-day period of self-initiated prevention after arrival. During this period, visitors are instructed to avoid coming into contact with those who are immunocompromised and should stay home if they are feeling symptomatic. Visitors are required to have a negative at-home rapid COVID-19 test result as a precaution.

In the coming months, Taiwan will be hosting a wide range of events including the 2022 Taiwan Hot Spring & Fine-Cuisine Carnival, which takes place now until June 30, 2023; the Sun Moon Lake Music & Fireworks Festival with ‘Come! Bike Day’ from October 17, 2022 to November 19, 2022; the 2022 Chiayi City International Band Festival from December 16, 2022 to January 1, 2023, and the Taiwan Lantern Festival 2023 in Taipei City from February 5-19, 2023.

In addition to its many attractions and events, Taiwan is the perfect destination for foodies. In the 2022 MICHELIN Guide Taipei, Taichung, Tainan & Kaohsiung, Taiwan impresses with 38 MICHELIN starred restaurants. The full guide includes 170 eateries in Taipei, 68 in Taichung, 44 and Tainan and 39 in Kaohsiung, giving visitors no shortage of delicious food to enjoy.
