St. Vincent and The Grenadines announced a number of updates on flights and hotels to the destination, particularly for visitors planning their escape during the colder months

St. Vincent and The Grenadines Tourism Authority (SVGTA) announced a number of updates on flights and hotels to the destination, particularly for visitors planning their escape during the colder months.

Air Canada will recommence a weekly non-stop scheduled service from Pearson International, Toronto to St. Vincent starting Friday November 4th, 2022, and twice weekly starting Tuesday December 20th, 2022 using their Boeing 737 MAX 8. These flights will be available through aircanada.com or through travel agents.

From the US, American Airlines has announced daily non-stop flights from Miami to St. Vincent starting Friday March 3rd, 2023. This new announcement will make American Airlines the first international airline to offer daily service to Argyle International Airport from North America and will open up the destination ahead of upcoming investments. They currently operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays out of Miami International Airport. Bookings can be made on AA.com or through travel agents.

In terms of where to stay upon arrival, visitors have lots to choose from, depending on the type of trip they are craving, including one new addition:

Beaches Resorts by Sandals scheduled to open December 2023 will sit on 50 lush acres and will be a short drive from the newly constructed Argyle International Airport. The resort will have an array of unique amenities and one, two and three-bedroom villas making it perfect for families and extended families of all sizes.

The Holiday Inn Express at Diamond, minutes from Argyle International Airport, is under construction and expected to have 100 rooms once ready.

For anyone planning on visiting the destination, the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has released updated COVID-19 protocols. Fully vaccinated visitors must arrive with proof of vaccination. These visitors will not be retested during their stay, nor will they have to complete any mandatory quarantine upon arrival. Unvaccinated visitors must arrive with a negative result of a COVID-19 -PCR test done no more than 72 hours prior to arrival, or negative SARS CoV-2 antigen test done 24 hours before arrival and will not need to quarantine.
