Scenic Group is going high speed on the seven seas with the addition of Starlink to all of its ocean-going fleets.

Known for its fast and reliable Internet connection, SpaceX’s Starlink launched its first foray into the cruise industry sector in 2022. Its 3,500 satellites – with plans for upwards of 42,000 – provide cruise ships with Internet access speeds of up to 70 times faster than standard satellites.

Scenic’s Starlink rollout began with its newest ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht, Scenic Eclipse II prior to its christening on June 3. It will be followed by the Emerald Azzurra before the end of June, Emerald Sakara when it launches in August, and finally the Scenic Eclipse by the end of 2023. 

Service currently spans many of Scenic’s destinations and cruising routes, whether it’s the ports of Europe or the most remote places in Antarctica.
