With the threat of more potent COVID-19 variants, it’s encouraging to see travelers generally embracing vaccines as a way to get back to a normal life, including travel,” said Amir Eylon, President and CEO of Longwoods International. “For the tourism industry and the entire country, the hope is that enough of the public will be vaccinated this summer to prevent any public health setbacks in the fall and winter.

Despite labor shortages in some areas and the challenges of ramping up operations, most travelers are satisfied with the service on their recent trips, with 49% reporting service levels comparable to their pre-pandemic experiences and 27% said they experienced even better service. However, nearly one quarter of travelers said they experienced worse service than in the past.

The survey, supported by Miles Partnership, was fielded July 7, 2021 using a national sample randomly drawn from a consumer panel of 1,000 adults, ages 18 and over. Quotas were used to match Census targets for age, gender, and region to make the survey representative of the U. S. population.
