The company reaffirms its mission to make the world a better place to travel

As part of the 20th anniversary celebration of Fundación Posadas, the company reaffirms its mission to make the world a better place to travel by launching initiatives that create social value and contribute to the development of communities across Mexico.
One of its most impactful programs is Capacitación Comunitaria (Community Training), an initiative that draws on Posadas’ more than 50 years of experience in the tourism sector. This program aims to equip young people—primarily women from vulnerable communities—with skills for tourism-related professions, providing them with tools to pursue a brighter future and facilitating their entry into the workforce.
The project began in 2024 with the training of six young participants. Thanks to its positive impact, it has grown significantly. In its second edition, 96 women took part across 17 hotels under the Grand Fiesta Americana, Live Aqua, Fiesta Americana, and Fiesta Inn brands, located in Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Oaxaca, and Yucatán. All participants received specialized training in the culinary arts.
The results have been outstanding: satisfaction evaluations from both mentors (chefs and kitchen teams) and participants yielded an overall rating of 96%, reflecting a high level of commitment and excellence in instruction.
“At Fundación Posadas, we firmly believe that tourism can be a powerful driver of social transformation. Through Capacitación Comunitaria, we strive to offer real opportunities to young people who might otherwise have limited access to the job market. Our commitment is to continue expanding these programs and opening more doors to a promising future,” said Miriam Jacamán, Director of Fundación Posadas.
Capacitación Comunitaria is a testament to Posadas’ dedication to Mexico and its new generations—integrating inclusion, development, and opportunity as key forces driving the future of tourism in our country.
