News / Bookings open for Uniworld’s 2024 Rivers of the World cruise
The 55-day itinerary will set sail from Lima, Peru, taking 68 guests on a once-in-a-lifetime journey across three continents and 10 countries aboard four Super Ships
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is gearing up for its second annual Rivers of the World cruise, set to depart on October 3, 2024.
The 55-day itinerary will set sail from Lima, Peru, taking 68 guests on a once-in-a-lifetime journey across three continents and 10 countries aboard four Super Ships.
Ellen Bettridge, President and CEO of Uniworld, says the cruise line is thrilled to be debuting the 2024 itinerary, back by popular demand.
The trip begins in the Peruvian Amazon with a celebratory beach kick-off party and land stay at the renowned Country Club Lima Hotel, followed by a week-long cruise aboard one of the two river ships, the Aria Amazon or Aqua Nera. Guests will continue with a land stay at the Tambo del Inka Hotel in the Sacred Valley, visiting both Cusco and Machu Picchu. Two Rivers of the World-exclusive hotel stays will complete the South America trip portion: first at Belmond’s Hotel del Cataratas to visit Iguazu Falls from both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides, and a night at the Belmond Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro.
From there, the group will fly to Amsterdam to cruise the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers onboard the S.S. Beatrice. Here, they’ll travel through four countries over 16 days and enjoy such highlights as a private Mozart & Strauss concert in Austria. Guests will then head to France and board the S.S. Catherine for seven nights, indulging in the fine wines and cuisines of Burgundy and Provence.
To cap off the voyage, guests will sail to Hanoi in Southeast Asia where they’ll stay at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi before embarking on an overnight cruise in Halong Bay. In Cambodia, they’ll have exclusive access to Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom and be treated to a candlelight dinner at the 10th-century Kravan Temple, before embarking on Uniworld’s Super Ship, the Mekong Jewel, to sail the Mekong River. The fourth and final cruise will disembark in My Tho where guests will then transfer to The Park Hyatt Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City for their final land stay and a finale gala dinner on the rooftop Chill Skybar.
The ‘Rivers of the World’ itinerary, priced from US$49,399 per person, is an all-inclusive voyage that includes onboard dining, unlimited premium wine, beer and spirits, Wi-Fi, excursions, scheduled airport transfers, onboard gratuities and flights between cruise segments. The sailing also features a dedicated Traveling Concierge that will accompany guests for the entire journey. Bookings are now open.
