Geckos Adventures, which offers tours for travelers ages 18 to 29, saw an uptick in bookings by millennials from North America on its ‘By Rail’ trips in 2017. In response to this trend, the company has more than doubled its ‘By Rail’ itineraries from seven to 17 for this year.

 

 

While travelling off-the-beaten track to different cities, the 10 brand-new trips will include a visit to local markets that is guided by a group leader. The trip leader will begin the visit with language instruction and then send travellers out on their own to shop for a picnic lunch using their new skills.
