The company says Thursday, Aug. 13 surpassed its previous single-day revenue record, set during Black Friday 2025

Virgin Voyages recently notched the biggest revenue day in its history, driven in large part by strong demand for the adults-only cruise line’s newly announced Scandinavia and Baltics program.

The company says Thursday, Aug. 13 surpassed its previous single-day revenue record, set during Black Friday 2025.

More than half of the day’s revenue came from Virgin Voyages’ first Scandinavia and Baltics season, which will see Valiant Lady sail five new itineraries from Amsterdam in summer 2028.

According to Virgin Voyages, every available cabin for the Northern Europe season sold out shortly after bookings opened, nearly two years before Valiant Lady is scheduled to arrive in the region.

The program will take in Scandinavian capitals and Norway’s fjords, with one itinerary venturing beyond the Arctic Circle. An 11-night Arctic Circle sailing has emerged as an early standout, generating what the cruise line describes as unprecedented demand.

Virgin Voyages is also bringing back its Summer Season Pass, giving travellers the opportunity to combine four Northern Europe voyages aboard Valiant Lady.

Bookings Surge in August

The launch gave an additional boost to what was already shaping up to be a strong month for the cruise line.

Virgin Voyages says its August booking pace was running 20% ahead of the previous year heading into Aug. 13. By the end of the record-setting day, it was more than 45% ahead.

The company attributes the performance to a wider stretch of momentum throughout 2026, which began with a record WAVE season.

The best part is seeing more people discover Virgin Voyages, come back, bring their friends and then ask us, ‘Where are you taking us next?’” said Nirmal Saverimuttu, CEO, Virgin Voyages.

That tells me we’re building something people really want to be part of. Breaking a record on a random Thursday in August seems odd until you realize all of the momentum we’ve built over the last eight months. It’s pretty incredible, but what excites me most is knowing we’re now the go-to brand for anyone travelling without kids.

New Experiences Onboard

Virgin Voyages recently rolled out Canva tools for its First Mates travel advisor partners.

The cruise line has also been refreshing its onboard product. Valiant Lady recently emerged from a refurbishment with new spaces and experiences, including Ariya, a new Indian dining concept. Virgin Voyages has also introduced more than 20 new onboard ‘Happenings.’

The world needs more joy, and I’m incredibly proud that Virgin Voyages gets to create some of that for travellers,” said Saverimuttu.

To our Sailors and First Mates who have believed in us and supported us along the way, thank you. And for anyone who hasn’t sailed with us yet and is looking for an adults-only holiday, there’s a hammock with your name on it.
